Fresh hot and cold water

Corrosion-resistant solutions with 40% less noise generation for the transport of fresh hot and cold water

Application

Fresh hot and cold water

GF Piping Systems provides thermoplastic and multilayer piping systems for efficient production and distribution of fresh hot and cold water. Fresh Water Generators (FWGs) onboard vessels convert seawater to fresh water via distillation, using condenser and evaporator plate heat exchangers. Seawater from the sea chest and hot jacket water from the engine cooling system circulate through these exchangers, using vacuum to efficiently evaporate seawater, with condensed fresh water pumped to storage tanks. Plastic piping like PE100 or Marine Grade PVC-C is crucial for transporting seawater and fresh water, resisting corrosion and scaling. We offer plastic and composite systems like INSTAFLEX (Polybutene) and iFIT (MC), with drinking water approvals for shipboard distribution.
