AquaTap in University Lab

Rice University, USA

The AquaTap™ Recirculating Faucets, designed and specified for installation within the Ralph S. O’Connor Building at Rice University required an advanced solution to minimize dead legs in its deionized (DI) water piping system. Dead legs, which occur when water stagnates in sections of the piping system, can lead to contamination and inefficiencies. Wylie Engineering and GF Piping Systems collaborated to address this challenge.

The ChlorFIT® Piping System made with Corzan® CPVC installed recently at a hospital in the South. The piping system, used for potable water, was installed by Nash Plumbing and Mechanical. The ChlorFIT system is ideal for drinking water because it is easy to install, resistant to chlorinated water, and will give years of trouble-free operation. Unlike metal systems, failures from corrosion or chemical attach like pinhole leaks are a thing of the past.
