To future horizons: GF Piping Systems presents sustainable water solutions for marine at Sea Asia 2025 in Singapore

13/03/2025 - 07.00 (Centraleuropæisk tid)

From 25 to 27 March 2025, the Swiss flow solutions provider will display thermoplastic components that simplify installations, reduce maintenance requirements, and enhance safety and reliability on board ships. In addition, Kelly Chen, Head of Sales Marine Asia cum China, will give a talk on the seamless integration of plastic piping systems.

Thermoplastic piping systems address many of the challenges faced by modern ship building: Compared to metal, they offer a longer service life thanks to corrosion-resistance, better energy-efficiency, and a lower weight. At Sea Asia 2025 in Singapore, GF Piping Systems will present components designed optimize water applications throughout the entire ship.

Thanks to its patented housing, the thermoplastic Butterfly Valve 565 Lug-Style can be used as an end valve which enables piping systems to be disassembled one-sided, facilitating the maintenance and operation of filters, tanks, and other installations, as well as fast replacements. As standard, the lightweight valve features removable plug-in inserts that can be configured to fulfil the needs of a wide variety of applications. The 565 is also the first industrial butterfly valve to receive an environmental product declaration (EPD) for added transparency.

HEAT-FIT by GF Piping Systems is compatible with the ecoFIT range of polyethylene pipes and fittings and is designed to offer protection against fire with a temperature of up to 1000°C for 30 minutes at a pressure of 3 bar. As a result, thermoplastics can be implemented in essential applications (L3). Along with the original pipe jacket system, GF Piping Systems offers the co-extruded version HEAT-FIT PE which significantly speeds up the installation process.

The JRG Sanipex MT system for cold and hot water installations consists of multi-layer pipes with a carrier pipe made of cross-linked polyethylene and specially developed two-layer fittings. A full pipe cross-section without dead spaces and only minimal pressure losses forms the basis for hygienically faultless drinking water. Simple and professional tools by GF Piping Systems help to keep installation times short.

In addition to showcasing products and services, GF Piping Systems is also sharing insights at Sea Asia. Kelly Chen, Head of Sales Marine Asia cum China at GF Piping Systems, will speak about the seamless integration of plastic piping systems on board ships. She comments: “For modern vessels, thermoplastic piping systems are a game-changing alternative to traditional materials. I am looking forward to not only presenting our portfolio but also sharing insights from the entire journey—from planning and design to reliable operations.”

Visit GF Piping Systems at SEA Asia 2025 in Singapore in hall B2-201.

Experience Kelly Chen speaking about “Seamless Integration of Plastic Piping Systems: Efficiency from Planning to Operations” on Wednesday 26 March from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the GF Piping Systems booth.
