That was "The Connection Convention" by GF Piping Systems - and the sustainable trade fair continues

3/31/21 - 9:14 PM (Taipei Time)

The future of piping systems for building technology went live last week and is now available on-demand on the GF Piping Systems event campus.

Everything is connected! From 23-25 March, GF Piping Systems added its own virtual exhibition hall to the ISH exhibition for three days. Visitors from all over the world experienced solutions focused on sustainability, hygiene, and digitization.

An extensive program connects people from all over the world.

Three days, three virtual shows in one: In terms of content, "The Connection Convention" was divided into the Hycleen Forum, the Sanipex Arena, and the Cooling Lounge. The participants could freely explore the campus and attend workshops or keynotes that highlighted GF's pioneering sustainability, hygiene, and digitalization relevant-solutions.

"We continue to strive for ways to create connections for life with our customers and showcase the world-leading sustainable innovations that GF is developing," said Christopher Duehnen, Head of Business Unit Building Technology. "The Connection Convention is our second very successful hybrid event in the past six months, that has enabled us to highlight how GF's solutions can contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals for Good Health and Well-Being, and Clean Water and Sanitation."

Experts gave further insights in talks and panel discussions. Entrepreneur Karl-Heinz Land spoke about "Earth 5.0". An interview with Oliver Fronk, consultant at Prior1, was particularly popular with visitors in the Cooling Lounge. The topic here was the sustainable air conditioning of data centers using ice storage technology with the help of the COOL-FIT piping system from GF Piping Systems.

GF Piping Systems emphasized interaction at the event. Innovation talks enabled participants to discuss a wide range of topics with experts from the company. At the same time, journalists visited GF Piping Systems' representatives for personal press briefings in the virtual media room.

Team Switzerland was able to configure piping systems in 30 minutes.

Finally, The Connection Convention was also the starting signal for the "Sanipex MT World Cup." Team Switzerland prevailed in the competition with colleagues from Germany and Austria. In just 140.18 seconds, three pipes from the Sanipex MT product range were cut to length and connected with a T-piece. Next, the competition will hit the road as GF searches for the Sanipex MT Installation World Champion during their COVID-safe roadshow in the coming months.

The virtual campus - lets participants immerse themselves in the world of GF Piping Systems

Following months of intensive visual implementation efforts, with the support of 3D designers and graphic artists from technical partner Neyroo, the Connection Convention was born with the most immersive experience possible. Highlights included the Sanipex Arena, designed in the form of a truck trailer that will host the upcoming roadshow, and the Cooling Lounge, enabling visitors to look around a virtual cooling center and interact with individual components.

The campus is open - the next event is already planned

The campus will continue to be a meeting place for customers, partners, and GF Piping Systems employees. The contents of The Connection Convention are now available on-demand. The next sustainable virtual-live event, "Flow to the Future," will take place on 29 April 2021. Everything on the campus will then revolve around the process automation and (waste) water treatment.
