Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) are an effective method to gather detailed and trustworthy information as they evaluate the environmental impacts of a product throughout the stages of its lifecycle. Therefore, this paper aims to demonstrate plastic's advantages as a long-lasting, environmentally sustainable, and cost-effective material for industrial butterfly valves.
A recent LCA study conducted on GF Piping Systems' plastic Butterfly Valve 565, the first industrial butterfly valve with an EPD (Environmental Product Declaration), will serve as a basis.
