Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive was implemented in 2007.

As a producer of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) George Fischer Sales Ltd, had a number of obligations in which it had to comply.

George Fischer Sales Ltd’s approach to be compliant with these obligations are set out below, our WEEE registration Number is WEE/FF0255QV

1)      WEEE Marking

All George Fischer Sales Ltd products that are subject to the WEEE Directive by (Members Name) from 13th August 2005 are compliant with the WEEE marking requirements. Such products are marked with the “crossed out wheelie bin” or WEEE symbol shown below in accordance with European Standard EN 50419.

2)      Information for Users

The symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that the product must not be disposed of with normal household waste. Instead, it is your responsibility to dispose of your waste equipment by arranging to return it to a designated collection point for the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment. By separating and recycling your waste equipment at the time of disposal you will help to conserve natural resources and ensure that the equipment is recycled in a manner that protects human health and the environment. 3)      Registration and Reporting

George Fischer Sales Ltd fulfil all legal requirements for registration and reporting by being members of the Lumicom Compliance scheme and reporting all EEE placed on market.

4)      Treatment

In accordance with the requirements of the WEEE Directive, WERCS Limited confirms that treatment and recycling of WEEE done on behalf of George Fischer Sales Ltd meets all Government targets for recycling and recovery of our products.
