Urecon pre-insulated and heat traced pipe is often used to maintain specific temperatures of buried or above grade chemical lines. Many chemicals used in water and wastewater treatment (alum, ferric chloride, sulfates and polymers) tend to ‘gum up’ at certain temperatures. Combining factory insulated pipe and heat tracing with specific design setpoints (like 15°C (59°F ) for alum) allow for uninterrupted flow. For ease of install and containment standard chemical tubing can be pulled, without joints, through a larger pre-insulated 'duct'. Tracing cable can be placed in channel or inside the duct alongside the tubing
Kitchen Waste Lines
GF Urecon supplies custom solutions for large casino projects where grease waste is transferred using pre-insulated pipe and electric heat tracing for proper flow. The tracing setpoints are designed to maintain viscosity.
